Micro Soccer provides an introduction to the game of soccer in a positive, engaging, and non-competitive atmosphere.  At this level, our youngest players learn basic soccer skills while developing their gross motor skills and coordination. Players are encouraged to have multiple touches on the ball through fun skill-building games. They are introduced to soccer while making new friends and most of all, having FUN!

Practices & Games

Micro teams generally have one practice per week.  If you have any practice time conflicts, please note those in the comment sections during the registration process. Team requests are considered but not guaranteed.

There is one game each weekend on Saturday mornings.  We schedule 8 games per season.

All practices and games are held at H.C. Nesbit Park behind Kensington Elementary School.

Games are played 3v3 and consist of four 8 minute periods.

Equipment Needed

The registration fee for the micro program covers the cost of a team t-shirt and an end of season trophy.  The rest of the uniform consists of black shorts and black soccer socks.  If your child is a new micro player or a returning player who needs a larger size, you will be able to order these during the registration process.

Each child will also need shin guards and a size 3 soccer ball at each practice and game.  Cleats are not required but are highly recommended.

Your registration fees pay for league and state registration fees, referee fees, equipment, field maintenance and utility costs.

The fee for the Fall 2016 season is $100.

Coaches at this level are volunteers.  They willingly give of their time and energy to our young players.  In return for their efforts they receive our appreciation, memories made with their children and a group of smiling faces.  Please consider becoming a coach and indicated your interest during registration.  You will be contacted.
