2017 Summer Camp at Nesbit Park  

DATE: Monday-Friday, June 12th-16th

TIME: 9am-12pm (Session 1)   1pm-4pm (Session 2)

AGES: Session 1 (7-10 yr olds)   Session 2 (11-14 yr olds)

INCLUDED: Camp ball and tshirt (Must be registered by June 1st to receive ball and shirt)

WHERE: Nesbit Park Field #7, Waxhaw NC

COST: $195.00 per player per week

COACH: ERIK IMLER – Youth Academy Director Waxhaw Soccer Club - United States Soccer Federation ‘A’ Licensed Coach – US Olympic Team 1992 – 3 Time NCAA Champion Univ of Virginia (1989,1991,1992) - Former Professional soccer player (DC United & New England Revolution) – Former US U17 Men’s National Team coach - Former College soccer coach (Univ of Kentucky Men)

ABOUT THE TRAINING:  IT’S FUN!!! WE PLAY A LOT OF SOCCER!!! - Focus on skills and ideas to improve game performance - Scoring Goals, Creating Goals, & Preventing Goals - This is how you become an “Impact Player” - Athletic Development - Agility, Balance, Coordination, & Speed - “The ABC’S of an Athlete” - Reveal and Develop your Leadership Capacity = Player Engagement (Discover the “Captain” in you)

Coach Faisal will run a soccer specific speed and agility program each morning. Sessions will be broken up by younger (7-10) and older (11-15) age groups. He will highlight the motor skills that will be specific to the daily topic.  Body movement will be introduced very basic level for our younger age groups. The older groups will be presented more complex technical skills and patterns of movement, assuming that they have achieved an appropriate level of mechanics. The drills will challenge and prepare players, so that they can take these movements and apply them to the game
